Hello all, I am new to this site and thought I might give it a try.  I am 40 years old and my father is about to undergo a course of palliative radiotherapy.  He will not be able to get rid of his cancer completely but we are hoping it will make him a little more comfortable for s while.  However my reason for this posting is that my Husband and I would love to take him on a cruise holiday, which is something he has always wanted to do but never got around to.  Has anyone got any ideas, tips and thoughts to help us choose the right one.  I dont care about the cost - it needs to be special - as an only child he is the best father ever to me.  Thanks

Why nopt contact some ot the better cruise companies, explain your circumstances and see if they can help. Also, try Saga

    hi debra

Have just joined and seen your post re your dad. did you get the cruise booked??

My  first thought was holiday insurance. Both me and my sister have had cancer and it can be a bit tricky and expensive to get. It all depends on how the individual feels. Rad therapy can certainly take its toll. and being in the middle of the ocean might not be the best idea, from the point of view of seeking medicsl attention if needed.

    just a thought

    best wishes to you

    becks.
