    There is strong evidence that learning anything at all will be good for mental health in the later years.  But every little is known about how older people learn, though it is obvious that they do so all the time, either in their everyday lives or, increasingly, by taking courses.

    At the London University Institute of Education we are doing some research with our 650 older learners [these are 10% of all our students] and I am starting a new course for anyone interested in the topic of mature learning.  It will run from January 2008 part time for one term.
