  • What political party in the UK will most benefit the elderly? 842

I am researching what political party I will vote for in the forth coming elections.

The elderly and the way they are treated and respected means an awful lot to me but i cant seem to find much info on current policies regarding them.

So far the lib dems seem to conform to most of my beliefs, but what will they, labour, conservatives and the green party do to help the elderly?

    Hello Ribena

Have a look at this - it's the political party of which I'm a member.

As you can see, we are demanding an end to the Barnett Formula by which Scotland and Wales allow medications and treatment which are denied to people in England.  They do this because they have a devolved government and are able to make their own health decisions.  We've seen the disgraceful reports of a war hero having to pay for eye treatment himself and then, as his savings ran out, having to choose whether he or his wife should go blind.  Alzheimer's drugs denied, cancer drugs, you name it, yet English people have to pay a higher proportion for health care they can't have for themselves.
