My name is Heather Behan, I am a Trainee Clinical Psychologist, at Leicester University, UK. I am doing my research into the links between Alzheimer's Disease, Education and Hobbies. I would like to ask for participants over the age of 65 to take part in my study. The research consists of two different questionnaires. The first is for
adults over the age of 65 who do not have a diagnosis of Alzheimer's. The second is for adults over the age of 65 who do have a diagnosis of Alzheimer's. The research has been approved by the University of Leicester and NHS ethics committee. If you have any questions, I would
be happy to answer them.
The questionnaires are online:
The first questionnaire is for healthy older adults at

The second is for older adults with AD, at:

Hello,
I would like to ask again for any help with my research on Alzheimer's
disease, education and hobbies. If anyone feels able to take part, that
would be great.
Also, if you do not feel able to take part, it would be really
helpful for me to know if there is anything I could do to change my
questionnaire- specifically if I could give more information about it,
or if the age range is too restrictive.
Thanks very much

Hello Heather, I clicked on the first link but unfortunately it won't let me in.
FWIW I'm 73, happily married, and am about to start on another degree course in January, the Open University's BSc(Hons) in Environmental Sciences. I'm involved in a political party, the English Democrats, stood for election (unsuccessfully!) in the local elections this spring, and am in dispute with the Higher Education Statistics Agency who won't recognise my ethnic group (English). I'm at the start of a process involving the Race Relations Act because of this.

Hi Margaret,
Tanks for your reply, I have attached the links again in this post here again, so hopefully that may work. Otherwise, I am not sure if you copy the link into your web browser, whether it will take you to it. Alternatively, I could email you the questionnaires if you would be happy with this.
The first link is for the person with Alzheimer's. <a href="https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=JyEtnJTEqzNcxrHT4gPbtg_3d_3d">Click Here to take survey</a>
The second is for the person without Alzheimer's. <a href="https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=Pz9qvvM672pVRCYL0SiLNA_3d_3d">Click Here to take survey</a>
Thanks
Also, it is great to see the OU's courses are accesible for all ages, this something that is really important to me, and is a focus of my study.

Hello Heather
Yes, please email me: margaretc@metoll.co.uk
There is NO upper age limit on any OU course, there never has been. Environmental Science is my chosen course, but other than that, I am very interested in early English history and language, the period between the Romans and the Normans. I'm in a group which meets regularly and we're trying to learn Old English (Anglo-Saxon).
Best wishes
