Hi i am just looking for a little advice - we are not to sure what way to turn.

I am a live in carer for my 91 year old grandmother and i work full time.  I do everything i can to help her e.g washing, cooking, housework, pay the bills, keep her company - basically everything possible which leaves me with not much of a life.  Don't get me wrong she is so wonderfull i would not change it for the world.

I am just however stuck in a rut.  The only reason i am living with granny is to do all of these things as we get no other help but 5 minutes every morning for someone to come and wash and dress her as she is still very independent and as you can imaging does not like her grandchildren having to do this. However, it seems that now i have moved in with her to help her they are now deducting more money from her - even though the reason i moved in is because we got no help to start with either physically or financially.  I am working all hours i can to pay the bills then spending every other second i have with granny which to be honest i feel shattered. I just think it is rediculous that the government can do this to people that really need help. It is a real struggle at the moment but rather than helping us they seem to be going against us. My sister also helps out as much as she can but she is married and expecting her first child so it is just not fair on her and we have no other family to help.  I am sure there are so many other people in the same position and i just wondered if anyone knew if there was actually any help out there?

    Thanks
