  • Severe dissability premium /DLA/Special rules? 1033

I am containg you on behalf of my father in law.

He has suffered several years of treatment for luekemia.

You name it he has had the treatment.

Unfortunately he is now staedily declining in his battle & the luekemia is very agressive.

He has not been claiming any DLA or Dissability Premium on his benifits.

Could you please let me know how we go about claiming back all the lost benifit entitlement.

He is of an age where he just gets on with it & settles for what ever card is dealt to him.

He worked for the whole of his working life & paid in enough money to the system to be able to live comfertably in his latter years.

As allways you are never contacted to let you know what benifits you are entitled to.

I believe that once you reach retirement age & you are not claiming DLA.

    You are unable to claim.

    Is this true.

Could someone please explain the special rules eliment?

I would like to do as much as i can for the father of my beloved, as without him i would not have to put up with the constent abuse from his daughter.

There would be no problem getting confirmation of his diagnosis from his many consultants.

Please help before it is too late!

    Yours Sincereley
