  • What can we do? 1082

Hi, I am writing about my Father in law who is 91 and lost his wife last year.  Since that time he has become more and more confused.  He lives alone and has carers who come in 3 times a day.  He refuses to go to a day centre or a home of any sort and wants to stay at his house which is a bungalow and very suitable for his needs.  He can cope with his food and he manages really well, but his confusion has become very difficult to cope with.

He gets agitated and worried about everything, and has accused visitors of stealing and the neighbour of smashing up his birdbox (I would laugh if it didn't get us down so much).  It has got to the point where no one goes to see him except us and his carers.

My question really is what can we do now?  My husband is very worried about the situation but doesn't really know what to do next.

    Sorry for the long post.
