I am looking after my 94 year old Father who lives alone in his bungalow. He has dementia which is getting worse, his eye sight is very bad and he's deaf, he doesn't want to move out of his bungalow and I am struggling to care for him alone. Can anyone tell me where I can get any help and advice. Social Services say they can't help me.

Oh my goodness - did Social Services really tell you that they can't help??

You will be entitled to some help, but what I'm going to suggest to you is that you visit the Alzheimers Society's Website.

They have a forum called "Talking Point" with some fantastic members and moderators who give excellent advice and provide support to people such as yourself.

Post the same message there and I can guarantee you will be inundated with replies and advice.

    Best wishes,
