Dear All
My Father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease 2 years ago. His condition has since rapidly deteriorated to the point where he no longer recognises my Mum, his children or grandchildren. A whole lifetime of memories has been simply wiped out and it has completely devastated the whole family. He used to be an active and independent man, but now he is totally dependent on others to do everything for him. In the beginning I just used to feel so helpless, it's only recently that I'm coming to terms with it. I miss the Father I used to know and will do anything I can to help him and thousands of other sufferers like him.
I would also like to hear from anyone who's family or friend has also been affected by AD or Dementia and to hear of your experiences.
Please help this campaign for drug treatment to help thousands of people with Alzheimer's Disease / Dementia which affects over 700,000 people in the UK alone.
The more people who campaign for dementia drugs, the more the NHS and the government will sit up and take notice. The cost is only £2.50 a day for these drugs, which are both clinically and cost effective.

You can contact your MP by emailing a template letter. It's very easy to do and will only take a few moments.
You can also sign an E-Petition on the 10 Downing Street webite, also to campaign against NICE's decision on Dementia Drugs. Please click on this link (or copy and paste onto browser):

So far over 2,345 people have signed the E-petition and the deadline is 10th January 2008.
Please do take a look at these links and help support a good cause.
