National Falls Awareness Day 2008

Home > Advice & support > Home safety > Preventing falls > National Falls Awareness Day

With over 600 events and extensive media coverage, National Falls Awareness Day 2008 was the most successful ever!

Through activities including abseiling, tai chi and dance productions, event organisers reached thousands of older people, raising awareness of how to reduce the risk of falling.

We have been pushing the issue of dangerous pavements further up the local government agenda. For more information visit the National Falls Awareness Campaign page.

To order pavement postcards, email the falls team (or, if you live in Wales, email the Wales falls team)

An evaluation report into National Falls Awareness Day 2008 will be available soon. In the meantime, why not take a look at our National Falls Awareness Day Gallery?
