Home > Advice & support > Home safety > Preventing falls > National Falls Awareness Day

Over 600 events took place this year for National Falls Awareness Day making it the most successful ever. Congratulations to the event organisers who helped us reach thousands of older people and get extensive media coverage on the day.

To find out more about the day and what happened, download our National Falls Awareness Day 2008 Evaluation Report

For more information on the issue of dangerous pavements, visit the National Falls Awareness Campaign page, or to order pavement postcards, email  the falls team (or the Wales falls team if you live in Wales).

Next year, National Falls Awareness Day will take place on Tuesday 23rd June 2009. Look out for ideas and resources coming soon.
