4. How much will SeniorLink cost?

The SeniorLink equipment is available to buy but you may also qualify to receive a free unit from the Charity, depending on your circumstances. For each option you, or your family, must be able to pay the equivilent of £1.63 per week (plus VAT if applicable to your circumstances). All calls to the Seniorlink Response Centre will be charged at local call rates.

Buying the SeniorLink equipment

When buying the SeniorLink equipment, your first payment includes the delivery and set-up costs for the service. Subsequent payments are required every three months for service monitoring and maintenance.

To qualify for a free unit you must:

  • be over 60 years of age;
  • not live in residential sheltered accommodation; and
  • have disposable savings/assets which don't exceed £20,000 (this includes shares and bonds but does not include the value of your home).
