What we want
We want the UN to stop discriminating against older people with HIV and AIDS.
- Key data to measure the impact of the HIV and AIDS epidemic currently exclude people aged 50 and over.
- Older people can no longer be excluded in this way by the UN. Until the impact of HIV and AIDS on older people is better understood, an effective global response will not be achieved.
- We want the Government to press the UN to include older people in all of the core UNGASS indicators used to track international progress in tackling the HIV and AIDS epidemic.
