Older womanWhat we want

We want the same protection against age discrimination that currently exists against race, sex and disability discrimination.

This means two things:

Equal access to goods, facilities and services

People of all ages should have the same right to goods, facilities and services such as insurance and healthcare.

Equality of opportunity for older people

Currently local authorities and public bodies can't introduce a new scheme, build a new shopping centre or change a bus route without looking into the potential impact on ethnic minorities, women, men and disabled people.

We want older people to be considered as well. We also want older people themselves to be directly involved in planning so their needs are not forgotten.

Age is just a number. Together we can end age discrimination. Take action now
