Older people protest in the age cage The Age Cage tour

Over the past year, thousands of people of all ages have joined Help the Aged in calling on the Government to make ageism illegal outside the workplace.

We've just toured the country again and thousands more people have been calling on their MPs to back legislation as a matter of urgency.

But the Government wants to postpone it until after the next election.

The Age Cage

This November we took a new approach. We created an Age Cage that represents the bars that older people face in society because of age discrimination. A key turning in a lock

On tour, local celebrities and thousands of people signed our written petition and had their photo taken in our visual petition.

We also put an art installation in Peckham Square to grab people's attention and motivate them to back our call.
