Joan's story

Joan's story is difficult to watch but do try and listen to her. Joan's is just one of over 500,000 cases of abuse that are happening in the UK now.

Two thirds of elder abuse happens in the home. It happened in Joan’s* home; a place where she should have been safe.

Often the abuser is someone whom the victim should be able to trust. Joan trusted her abuser.

Yet all too often the victims don’t speak out. Joan did.

By joining our campaign with a regular gift or donation, you can help protect older people, like Joan, from abuse. You can give them a voice and help them speak out.
