Sponsor a Grandparent
Sponsor a Grandparent is a unique overseas sponsorship programme that supports older people and their communities in 30 countries worldwide.
How your money helps
More than one in ten of the poorest people in the world is over 60. And for many older people in developing countries, surviving on less than a dollar per day, it is almost impossible to move on from a life of grinding poverty.
For just 50p a day (£15 a month), you can make a tangible difference to the 26,000 poor and vulnerable older people benefiting from our Sponsor Grandparent programme. Not only will your donation provide basic essentials such as food, clothing, medicine and shelter, it will also help to develop long-term income generation schemes that restore older people's dignity and self-respect.
And your money will go further than helping just one person. Every older person in their community will benefit because no one will be left behind.

What you get
In return for your support, you will receive a photo of your grandparent, a short biography and details of the community you will be helping, along with some information on the country. This will be available to download after you sign up.
Twice a year you will be sent individual project reports to keep you updated on how your grandparent and their community are benefitting from your donations.
Three times a year you will receive Sponsor a Grandparent News, our magazine which gives a broader picture of Sponsor a Grandparent projects worldwide.
