School fundraising
We encourage children to understand the challenges that older people face and think about how valuable older people are to communities.
If you are interested in studying Help the Aged for a school project, or would like to fundraise and are seeking ideas, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Here are a few ideas...
- Hold a cake and biscuit sale for pupils, parents and teachers
- Hold a collection at your Christmas carol concert or play
- Sponsored event - silence, spell, walk, run, swim, dance
- Hold a fundraising Summer Fair
- Collect your coppers
- Organise a charity concert or talent competition
Assembly plans
We have created interactive assembly plans for infants and secondary school pupils, which you can use to get children thinking about the older generation and the difficulties they may face. Visit the assembly plans page
Get active!
Fundraising in the summer sunshine
Joining in the Big Spring Walk can teach children about exercise, encourage them to spend time with their familes, and explore their local area.
Or get them fit and funky with our Let's Dance event. Teachers and pupils could work together to create their own dance, or use our FREE routine, created by a choreographer who's worked with Mariah Carey, Girls Aloud, Take That and Robbie Williams!
Helping Hands
Here's a simple, original way to teach younger children about responsibility and to get them involved with their local community whilst raising money for older people. Find out about Helping Hands
We hope you can join us and make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged older people. Your support will show that the younger generation really does care.
