The race
Now in its 28th year, with over 47,000 participants, the BUPA Great North Run is Britain’s biggest running event and the world’s largest half marathon. The 13.1 mile course starts in Newcastle, takes you over the Tyne Bridge, through Gateshead and then along the seafront to finish in South Shields. With its unbeatable atmosphere this is a great race whether you’re a first time runner or regular racer!
Taking part
To apply for one of our places in the BUPA Great North Run 2008, please fill out the online form now. Please note that we receive far more applications than we have places. Therefore, please complete your application form as fully as possible. We will choose runners whose applications reflect their commitment to the charity and fundraising efforts.
