McCarthy and Stone Sportsman's Dinner
9 November 2007 Warwick Hilton Hotel
Thank you to everyone who attended the seventh annual McCarthy and Stone Sportsman's Dinner this year.
Over three hundred people came to the event, raising vital funds for the Charity's HandyVan service which aims to combat isolation and restore independence amongst disadvantaged older people.
As well as a four-course meal, the evening included top-class entertainment from David Duckham MBE, Sid Dennis and none other than Scott Quinell, retired Welsh rugby captain. Guests also enjoyed a lively game of reverse bingo, raffle and an auction.
The evening is expected to raise a grand total of £10,000 - a fantastic achievement.
Help the Aged would like to thank:
- McCarthy and Stone for choosing Help the Aged as their beneficiary charity.
- All of the organisations and individuals who attended and made the evening so enjoyable.
- The Warwick Hilton Hotel, who helped make the event such a success with their professionalism and flexibility.
- All of the donors of the raffle and auction prizes including the Indian cricket team, Mark Ramprakash, the Oval, the Belfry, the British Olympic Association and Keith and Jenny Booth from the Surrey Cricket Club.
