Mobile phone recycling
Do you have an unwanted mobile phone sitting at home? Donate it to Help the Aged and it can be transformed into vital funds for the Charity.
Help the Aged receives a minimum of £5 for each reusable mobile phone.
How your donation can help:
- £5 pays for 50 information advice leaflets.
- £10 pays for a smoke detector that lasts ten years which is fitted into older people's homes via the HandyVan scheme.
- £35 pays for a bogus caller button which is fitted into older peoples' homes as part of SeniorLink, our home safety scheme.
To donate and recycle your mobile phone:
- Put your old mobile phone, plus battery and charger if possible, into an envelope.
- Send it to this freepost address :

Don't forget! Please write Help the Aged on a note and pop it into the envelope. This is so that our partner knows who to credit the funds to.
-
Or drop your mobile phone into your local Help the Aged shop.
- If you have 10 or more mobiles to recycle you can arrange a free mobile phone collection.
Don't forget to remove your sim card!
Help the Aged works with SHP on the mobile phone recycling scheme. Even if your mobile phone cannot be reused, nothing is wasted: all parts of the mobile phone are recycled and nothing goes into landfill.
Unfortunately we aren't able to accept phone chargers on their own.
