Toners
It takes 1.5 pints of oil to make a toner cartridge. By recycling cartridges for Help the Aged you will help raise funds for older people while reducing landfill and preserving resources.
How your donation can help:
Help the Aged receives between 10p and £2 for each recyclable cartridge.
£1 pays for a spyhole that helps to make older people more secure.
£2 pays for an audio information leaflet.
£5 pays for a pendant that a vulnerable older person wears as part of SeniorLink, our home safety scheme.
To donate and recycle an inkjet cartridge
Ask for some freepost recycling envelopes: Call 020 7239 1869 (if you are in Northern Ireland call 02890 230 666) or email us at transform@helptheaged.org.uk
Once you have received the freepost envelopes, insert your empty inkjet cartridges and post them.
We mainly recycle Hewlett Packard, Canon, Lexmark and Dell ink cartridges. Please do not send Epson's as we cannot recycle them.
To donate and recycle toner cartridges
Once you have 15 or more toner cartridges that we can recycle we can arrange a free collection on your behalf. Call 020 7239 1869 (or, if you are in Northern Ireland, call 02890 230 666), or email us at transform@helptheaged.org.uk to request a collection
If you have fewer than ten toner cartridges, you can drop them in at your local Help the Aged shop.
Help the Aged works with Reclaim-It, a leading UK toner and inkjet cartridge remanufacturer.
