Safeguarding Adults

Safeguarding Adults- A Consultation on the Review of the ‘No Secrets’ Guidance

In 2000 the Department of Health and the Home Office issued joint guidance on keeping adults safe.

The government is now revisiting the guidance and consulting on what should be included. It will also consider the case for legislation as part of this review process.

The consultation runs until 31 January 2009. Visit the Department of Health website to download other relevant documents and respond to the consultation.

Preparing for our Ageing Society

The Government has produced a discussion paper called Preparing for our Ageing Society (PDF,734k) which, together with a series of public discussion events, are part of the first stage of a review of the Government’s strategy for meeting the challenges of our ageing society. The discussion period began on 25 November 2008 and runs until 20 January 2009.
