For over 40 years, Help the Aged has worked to support vulnerable older people on every continent.

By supporting local organisations, being a member of the HelpAge International Network and running the Sponsor a Grandparent scheme, we provide help where it is most needed in more than 50 countries around the world.

Help the Aged began life as an international agency. The Charity was established in 1961 to provide support for older people following an earthquake in the former Yugoslavia and a cyclone in former East Pakistan. Today our work is spread across Africa, Asia, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.
