Our partners
Help the Aged believes that local organisations working overseas know best what must be done in their own countries to tackle poverty, isolation and neglect among older people.
HelpAge International
Our main partner is HelpAge International, a network of older people’s associations, community-based organisations, NGOs, academic institutions and international agencies.
Help the Aged was involved in setting up HelpAge International in 1983 and it now includes more than 70 affiliates in 50 countries.
HelpAge International is the only global network of not-for-profit organisations with a mission to improve the lives of disadvantaged older people.
It works by:
- supporting practical programmes;
- giving a voice to older people; and
- influencing policy at a local, national and international level.
Help the Aged gives between 20 and 25 per cent of its funds to HelpAge International. Visit What we do to see how this money helps older people around the world.
