Need help claiming benefits or entitlements? Call SeniorLine for free advice on a range of welfare rights issues.

Our trained advisers can help with issues such as:

  • Health, community and residential care.
  • Social security and disability benefits.
  • Housing options and adaptations.
  • Finance and budgeting.
  • Other information for older people.

SeniorLine will give options so callers can make an informed choice, and support callers to take action themselves.

When a case becomes too complex or difficult, or when a caller is unable to take a case further, our advisers will contact third parties on their behalf and work towards a resolution.

There are some types of help that SeniorLine staff are unable to offer:

  • The advice workers are not trained in counselling or legal matters, neither can they offer medical advice.
  • Financial advice is restricted by the terms of the Financial Services Act 1986.
  • SeniorLine does not recommend tradespeople.

Call SeniorLine on 0808 808 7575 (0800 269626 if using a textphone). You may be asked appropriate questions to ensure that we have all the relevant facts and can explore all the options available.

Alternatively you can email your enquiry to seniorline.belfast@helptheaged.org.uk Try to include as much information about the situation as you can.
