Help the Aged and ORMO work together to help unite generations
31 January 2008
Ahead of Shrove Tuesday, a Belfast grandmother and her three year old grandson have whipped up a giant pancake with the help of Claire Wade from ORMO bakeries.
The jumbo pancake was created to mark a donation of £5,000 by the bakery to Help the Aged in Northern Ireland.
Sharon Campbell, Marketing Director, ORMO says:
‘As a business that goes back generations with many family members involved we are particularly interested in the Help the Aged Helping Unite Generations campaign. So far we have supported the Charity through on pack promotions, a taste fest at the Balmoral Show and our Christmas raffle.’
'The Bakery has also been very generous in supporting our HUG Tea Parties by supplying older people’s groups with free ORMO products.'
Maeve Egerton, Fundraising, Help the Aged in Northern Ireland says:
‘We are very grateful to ORMO for their support. Not only have they raised much needed funds but they have also helped raise the profile of the Charity through a major bill board campaign. The Bakery has also been very generous in supporting our HUG Tea Parties by supplying older people’s groups with free ORMO products.’
Funds raised by ORMO will be used to provide support to disadvantaged older people through the Help the Aged Home Support Service.
