Financial assistance for groups

Help the Aged can offer assistance to groups working with older people in the following ways:

• Development Advice
• Grant Aid

The Charity will assess each application on its merit and reserves the right to offer one or both of the above categories of assistance.

Applications to Help the Aged must demonstrate at least one of the following:

• The involvement of older people in the local community;
• The promotion of self-help and community development; or
• The inclusion of older people in senior citizens forums and other networks.

Exclusions

The following areas will normally be excluded, at the discretion of the Northern Ireland Grants Group:

• Grant aid to purchase minibuses;
• Grant aid which can be provided from another source;
• Grant aid to fund purchases that have already been made; and
• Salary costs.
