Schools and Help the Aged
We encourage children to understand the challenges that older people face and think about how valuable older people are to communities.
If you are interested in studying Help the Aged for a school project, or would like to fundraise and are seeking ideas, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Here are a few ideas...
- Hold a cake and biscuit sale for pupils, parents and teachers
- Hold a collection at your Christmas carol concert or play
- Sponsored event - silence, spell, walk, run, swim, dance
- Hold a fundraising Summer Fair
- Collect your coppers
- Organise a charity concert or talent competition
Get active!
Joining in the Big Spring Walk can teach children about exercise, encourage them to spend time with their familes, and explore new places in their local area. It doesn't have to be in springtime; walking is enjoyable at any time of year.
Or get them fit and funky with our Let's Dance event. Teachers and pupils could work together to create their own dance, or use our FREE routine, created by a choreographer who's worked with Mariah Carey, Girls Aloud, Take That and Robbie Williams!
We hope you can join us and make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged older people. Your support will show that the younger generation really does care.
